Hidden away in the Luxx Hotel, Washoku is a sister restaurant of the popular sushi bar Sakana in Aree Garden. With a similarly elegant atmosphere, it also serves the same time-honored Japanese classics ranging from sushi to don (rice bowls) and suki. The star dishes here have to be the unagi don (rice topped with grilled eel) and the Kobe beef suki, which comes with succulent soup and great quality beef. The sushi, too, never fail to please, nor do the even more modern options like foie gras or colorful rolls. If you’re in the neighborhood at noon, the impressive list of lunch sets offer incredible value for money, too.
