Tell Me Wine
The buzz: The wine-in-the-name trend has now spread to the suburbs! Located in Nawamin Festive Walk, Tell Me Wine’s kitchen has the Siam@Siam Hotel Executive Chef at its helm, doing—you guessed it—fusion food: Italian, Japanese and Thai. With a branch of HOBS right next door, it’ll be interesting to see where the crowds will throng.
The décor: There are upper and lower zones and a small bar counter. The vibe is quite industrial, with metal chairs, tables, ceiling lamps and bare walls. Pine wood, sofas and pillows soften the overall mood with their red, orange and pink hues. The focal point of the restaurant is its open kitchen which lends an energetic feeling with its action-packed goings-on.
The food: Steaks, pasta and sushi with intriguing twists like roast salted pistachio and ginkgo seeds (B100), Tell Me Wine Roll (Tasmanian salmon and crispy soft-shell crab tempura, B240) and spaghetti kanang pla kem (spaghetti with salted fish, baby kale, basil and chili (B220) and grilled Australian lamb rack with panang curry sauce (B260). They do also offer more classic dishes like a simple Hawaiian pizza (B260).
The drinks: An affordable selection of wine, ranging from B750-B4500. They also do signature cocktails like Bitter Romance (premium rum, vanilla and maraschino mixed with grapefruit juice and homemade honey syrup topped with dry white wine, B190) and Red Elegance (raspberry vodka and red wine mixed with pomegranate juice and Washington apple, B190). We’re also excited that they carry our favorite beer, Inedit (B499).
The crowd: Couples and some lost shoppers. Pieng-or Mongkolkumnuankhet
