Roastology
Serious coffee for Sala Daeng.
The experienced roasters behind this joint have been supplying restaurants across the city for six years, only opening their own café last year. Sourcing beans both locally and internationally, they not only produce a great cup of coffee—their intense dark chocolate cocoa and purple sweet potato latte are also must-tries, along with their Montreal-style bagels. The interiors are light and airy, with grey marble countertops, white honeycomb tiling and industrial metal seating—or if you’re in a rush, they also have a window for quick take-out orders.
Five-year-old coffee roasters Roastology have opened their first showroom and compact cafe in Sala Daeng. Here, they not only showcase house-roasted and -blended beans through espresso-based cups (from B100) and slow-bar (from B80 for Thai beans; from B150 for imported beans) but also create as impressive experience for non-coffee drinkers.
The super dark chocolate drink (B100-120) comprises their own blend of South American and African cocoa for both the aroma and the body while the purple sweet potato latte (B130) is another great creation. (We recommend topping it with an espresso shot, though.)
Drop by hungry and get their yummy Montreal-style bagels (B50 for a plain/from B180 for a sandwich). Stay tuned as they’re launching other experimental drinks like coffee honey tonic and housemade coffee cola.
