Louis Vuitton has entered the realm of haute cuisine with a restaurant in Ratchaprasong which combines fine dining and high fashion. The iconic brand has placed the restaurant in the skillful hands of superstar Chef Gaggan Anand, known for his creative and radical approach to progressive Indian cuisine.
This move follows in the footsteps of iconic establishments like Ralph’s Coffee by Ralph Lauren, Armani Ristorante in New York City, or The Blue Box by Tiffany’s and Co. Whether for Netflix, his chef table, or bombastic personality, Gaggan Anand is one of the most well known celebrity chefs and restaurateurs in the city. Gaggan Anand’s Gaggan Anand Restaurant is a 14-seat chef table, and he is also the mind behind the likes of Ms Maria and Mr Singh.
The opening of this restaurant follows Louis Vuitton’s other successful ventures in the dining scene, such as Le Cafe V and Sugalabo V in Osaka, as well as its summer cafe in Saint Tropez. Its offerings have also spanned from puzzles to airport lounges.
The restaurant marks the fashion house’s first foray into Southeast Asia and will offer an 8-course lunch at B4,000 and a 17-course dinner at B8,000, with optional wine pairings. As is to be expected with any venue by Louis Vuitton, there will likely be a sharp focus on style, making for a chic and bougie dining destination. Reservations open on March 1st.
