Chidlom has welcomed a new affordable beer bar to the neighborhood in the form of Beer Republic. 

Located inside the Holiday Inn Hotel Chidlom, this vast, industrial warehouse-inspired venue serves both mass and craft beers plus Thai and European bar food.

Aiming for both the after-work and heavy partying crowds, they stock over 70 labels of beer with prices starting from B95 (half a pint of Singha) rising to B750 for something fancy like a 650ml bottle of Frederick H, a tart wheat beer by Bruery Terreux.

Hungry? They offer both Thai (try the pad Thai goong, B290) and European comfort pub food like burgers or ribs—order the Republic Burger (brioche bun, bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, sweet onion, B300).

The nightly live music covers funk and soul from Motherfunky and Supergoods through to angry pop-punk from Jimmy Revolt and acoustic pop by Jennifer Lackgren.
