Baker Gonna Bake
Sukhumvit Soi 26's favorite baker.
Clean white walls and light-wood furniture are punctuated with handicraft touches and splashes of natural greenery in this bright and charming space. With their origins as an online bakery, they have bread and pastries galore (the fudge brownies are to die for) as well as savory dishes like Thai charcoal-braised chicken and eggs Benedict. They also specialize in the Korean dessert, bingsu (shaved ice), with creative flavor twists including apple and marscapone, whilst coffee is sourced from local roaster, Somersault.
Online bakery turned full-time cafe Baker Gonna Bake has moved from K Village to a bigger space on the same soi.
The latest spot keeps to the same bright, wood-heavy decor with handicraft touches, while the menu has expanded to more savory items, from Thai charcoal-braised chicken (B120) and pad kaprao chicken (B120) to the brunchy eggs Benedict on croissant (B200).
The focus is still very much on sweets, though, with a new bingsu (shaved milk ice) line offering creative versions of the Korean-hailing dessert like mascarpone (B195) and apple (B150).
Coffee beans are sourced from local coffee roaster Somersault (from B70). They will host workshops here, too.
