Following the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 event in Hong Kong last night, four homegrown Bangkok bars made the list. 

 

Four Seasons’ BKK Social Club climbed from last year’s No.13 on the World's 50 Best list to No.7, becoming the city’s highest ranking bar. They were also BK’s 2024 pick for Best Hotel Bar at the BAD Awards. 

 

Vesper, which claimed the 12th spot on last year’s list came up on No.13. Mahaniyom, the playground for BAD Awards’ reigning bartender of the year, Ronnaporn “Neung” Kanivichaporn, stepped up four spot from the previous year, coming in at No.18.

 

Bar Us, the BAD pick for top cocktail bar this year, also made it to No.21, marking a significant win for a fresh entry.

 

Congratulations are in order for other Thai bars in the 51-100 list. These include Tropic City No.62, Opium Bar No.73, Firefly Bar No.83, Asia Today Bar No.90, The Bamboo Bar No. 91, and Supawit “Palm” Muttarattana’ s newly opened Dry Wave Cocktail Studio at No. 98. The latter was excitingly crowned with the notable “One To Watch Award.”

 

A few Bangkok bars are expected to make it onto the World’s 50 Best Bars list coming out later this year. Last year, two Bangkok bars made it all the way up to the top 20 on The World’s 50 Best Bars list: Mahaniyom Cocktail Bar and Four Seasons’ BKK Social Club.
