Thonglor’s new Humming Hair Salon looks more like a cafe than a salon, owing to its light wood decor, loose seating arrangement and plentiful pot plants.

The emphasis here is on natural treatments using organic products supplied by American Ayurvedic-inspired haircare label Aveda. Customers receive a complimentary hair checkup before any treatment, so that the hairstylists can tailor the services.

Highlight treatments include Invati natural coloring (B3,000-7,000) and hair curling (B5,000-7,000, using an imported digital curler, still a real rarity in Bangkok). A regular shampoo and cut starts from B700 for men and B1,000 for women.

The salon will soon welcome Sparrow, a mini bar and cafe, but for now customers can order food and drinks from nearby Bar Storia Del Caffe.
